EDITING-Film editing is part of the creative post-production process of filmmaking . The term film editing is derived from the traditional process of working with film, but now it increasingly involves the use of digital technology.

CUT- One image is suddenly replaced by another , without a visible transition .

CROSSCUTTING -Cross-cutting is an editing technique most often used in films to establish action occurring at the same time in two different locations. In a cross-cut, the camera will cut away from one action to another action, which can suggest the simultaneity of these two actions but this is not always the case.

OVERLAPPING EDIT-Cuts that repeat part or all of an action, thus expanding its viewing time and plot duration. It show the same scene from different angels.

MONTAGE-Montage is achieved with a collection of symbolically related images, cut together in a way that suggests psychological relationships rather a temporal continuum.
